Over the past 5 years Thonburi has seen its economy continually grow, increasing the demand for accommodation as its population has increased. In response to this, the executives of Samitivej Hospital Network decided to establish a modern private hospital where patients can receive a high-standard of medical treatment and care.

The Samitivej Hospital Network is currently comprised of Samitivej Sukhumvit, Samitivej Srinakarin, Samitivej Sriracha and Samitivej Thonburi.

The modern designed 150-bed hospital comes complete with a contemporary lab centre and will remain open to the public 24 hours a day.

Those for which it has already become noted for are; the Oncology Center, Ophthalmology and Lasik Clinic, Orthopedic Center and Allergy Institute. Advanced technology apparatus include Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner 128 slides and Mammography.
